Some Club Carlson promotions have been fabulous, others are just little bouquets of points, but thank you very much, I’ll take them.
Today, I received an email from Club Carlson stating:

Jump start this fall season with 10,000 bonus Gold Points® when you book an Eligible Stay now through October 6 and complete your stay at any Carlson Rezidor hotel by October 31, 2015. You’re already registered, so all you need to do is book. |
Thus, according to this Offer, you are eligible to receive 10,000 bonus Gold Points, without registration, if:
- you are an Elite Club Carlson member
- you book an eligible stay before October 6th
- you complete the stay by October 31, 2015.
Is this a great promotion? It certainly would have been more valuable before the free second night stay was removed from the Club Carlson Visa Credit Card and before the points needed for a free award night were increased for many of the properties. Having said that, if you are planning a trip and a stay at a Club Carlson property, 10,000 bonus points is 10,000 bonus points.
NOTE – according to the comments, one reader, a Silver Elite member received the same offer, but for 5,000 points, and another reader, a Gold Elite member received an offer for only 5,000 points. This is curious.

Silver member here. Got the email with the same dates but for the 5000 pts
I got the email earlier this afternoon, but my offer is only for 5k points. I’m Gold (through CC) with about a half-dozen nights over the past year.

Silver here (downgraded from Gold last year). 1 stay for 2 nights in 2014 at the Radisson Blu Amsterdam. Got the 10k bonus offer. What’s considered “eligible” stay? Points and cash, AAA?

My husband, also a Gold with more points in his account historically, got bupkis.
But, typically when US Bank/Carlson do a promo, he always gets a better one, with a lower necessary spend and/or better multiple.
Since we have no hotel stays in Oct. and don’t don’t do mattress runs, it doesn’t really matter, but I offer it as one more data point.
