Last week I ran a contest to guess the number of miles I would be flying on a three day mileage run around the United States.
Boy was I surprised to see the low numbers guessed – ranging from 5,000 miles to 9,999! Really guys??
I’ll write more about the Mileage Run itself in other posts, but just wanted to share the numbers here, and name the winners of the contest.
I flew for three days, 12 flights, 2 red-eyes…
The actual miles flown were 13,690. Since I am a gold medallion on Delta, I will receive double that.
The tally would have been a little higher, because I changed two flights in order to avoid a tight connection on a flight later that day.
Winner of the Delta Coupon for 10% off the price of any Delta ticket (for up to 2 persons) – to be used by 12/31/13 – to or from any one of the three major New York airports – is Curtis Lu, who guessed 9,999 miles.
Winner of the Free Drink Coupon is Keven, who guessed 9,000 miles.
