I’ve never been a big fan of Las Vegas, nor of the Strip. I recently stayed at the Luxor Hotel which is a pretty massive Egyptian-themed hotel and casino, replete with pyramids and Sphinxes. (For a review of my suite at the Luxor, see, This is What a $48 Hotel Suite Looks Like in Vegas).
I didn’t know what the fitness center at the Luxor Hotel would be like, but I was pleasantly surprised! It’s large, clean, well-equipped and conducive to working out.
Size: Very large
Equipment: plentiful with plenty of space between machines
Types of equipment: among other things, 9 Lifefitness treadmills, 3 stationary bicycles, 2 recumbent bicycles, 5 Precor stairmasters, Paramount circuit machines, 1 step machine and free weights
Light: great windows looking out on pool area
Mirrors: many mirrored walls
Large Outdoor pools
Amenities: towels, random magazines, water. Store at entry to fitness center where you could buy workout and nutritional items.
Here are some photos:
The pools and pool areas are expansive. I really wanted to spend time at the pools, but I was busy night and day at a conference:
All in all, I was quite impressed with the fitness center and facilities at the Luxor!
