I am so excited. As you know (or should know) Will Run For Miles regularly features hotel jogging maps, and gets peculiarly excited about this! The headline is Cuckoo For Jogging Maps and I am thrilled to report that Radisson Blu has gone fabulously Cuckoo partnering with Strava to introduce Blu Routes!
This is beyond great! This is what I’ve been talking about! Now, when you go to a city that has a Radisson Blu, you can check out the running and cycling routes in advance. And maybe this will be the reason you will choose to stay at a Radisson Blu in the first place! Yes, it’s important for me, and it’s important for many people I know who believe that fitness is not a luxury and not something they leave at home!
So far, Blu Routes are available for Radisson Blu hotels in United Kingdom, Ireland, The Baltics, Georgia, Germany, The Nordics, Russia and Turkey. Radisson Blu is planning to expand Blu Routes to include more and more countries.
The Blu Route page states:
Designed to help our guests maintain their exercise routes when traveling, #BluRoutes are running and cycling circuits for our guests which start and end at Radisson Blu hotels. Participating hotels typically have #BluRoutes of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty, offering a real sense of place in your host city or resort.
Simply click on a hotel below to view that hotel’s #BluRoutes.
#BluRoutes are being added all the time, so if the hotel that you want to stay at is not yet participating, be sure to check again soon or get in touch with us.
Radisson Blu is passionate about delivering a holistic 360° experience, one that is truly relevant to your wellbeing. Exercise is a key feature of our stylish, sophisticated lifestyle, and a range of fitness options is a key part of our Blu offering.
When you click-through to each property, there is a description of what is offered, and a choice of cycling and run tours. Each choice includes a written description of the route, a difficulty rating and an elevation chart. This is all very attractive, and coordinates with Strava, a fantastic, innovative exercise application.
Here, for example, are the routes offered at the Radisson Blu Bristol, UK property:
I can’t wait to try this out and report further! I love this!
