I dragged Dave out to run with me one fine morning in Lisbon, and as is usually the case, we were dazzled by our discoveries along the way! I’ll let Dave the Traveling Music Man tell you all about the HF Fenix Music Hotel:

Dave the Traveling Music Man:
Recently, we traveled to Lisbon Portugal for a quick, but fantastic, 3-day weekend trip. At the end of one of my rare cameo morning runs, we saw a sign on a building that said HF Fenix Music. Naturally, I was immediately drawn to the word Music.
I peered inside. Initially, it appeared (to me anyway) as though the establishment was perhaps a musical instrument store or a recording studio. However, once I went inside, I realized that it was actually a very cool hotel with a musical theme.
The HF Fenix Music hotel is part of a movement (couldn’t resist the pun) that pulled me in and lit up like a player piano! As soon as I stepped into the lobby, I was thrilled by the hotel’s well-orchestrated music theme.
The reception desk looks like a drum kit that even Ringo Starr or Brad Elvis (of the Romantics) would be in awe to play.
The bar right next to the reception area has a piano keyboard decor. The perfect rhythm section to greet you and make you feel positive vibrations.
And, of course the drink menu looks like a juke box!
Some evenings, there is live music in the lobby area next to the bar. A nice added plus when you are sipping on a nice musically themed cocktail. And downstairs, there is an area for live concerts and shows.
The rest of the lobby is filled with music memorabilia as well as more sitting areas. I loved the wallpaper that looks like wall-to-wall stereo speakers. The speakers are so stacked that it makes you feel like you’re seeing the backdrop to a Who concert.
Kathy loved the carpet.
If all that wasn’t enough, there are display cabinets filled with even more memorabilia.
The music theme continues to the hotel rooms. Unfortunately, we weren’t permitted to see the rooms in person, but the hotel website has photos, such as this:
Rock on!
