Remember those carefree days when you didn’t care about airline status and you could jet off for a last minute, quick weekend getaway in Europe for just a few bucks? Think back to when you were young and didn’t mind sitting in economy because, well, this trip wouldn’t have happened had it not been for this bargain airfare.
Norse Atlantic Airways, a relatively new ultra-low-cost carrier on the scene (which has it’s roots in Norwegian Air), is bringing back those memories!
Right now, Norse Atlantic Airways is running a Flash Sale From New York, Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles to Oslo and Berlin starting at $119 one way.
The Flash Sale begins today and runs until Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 11:59 pm EST for flights from today through May 31, 2023. (Blackout periods apply, fares subject to availability).
As a low-cost carrier, there are many add-ons, from luggage, to food and beverages to seat selection. Thrifty Traveler wrote an excellent article about the Norse Atlantic experience in detail (see, Review: What’s it Like to Fly Norse Atlantic Airways?).
What about the return flights? I checked some dates for JFK-BER and I saw the $129 fares from JFK to Berlin. For the return flights, the lowest airfare I saw was $174, which I think is still a bargain!
For the JFK-OSL, I saw $119 fares in both directions! If instead you want Premium Class seats, there are fares of $269 each way.
So, my question is this: For a round trip flight to Oslo for under $250, would you be willing to fly a low cost carrier?
