For those who collect and use Airberlin miles, Airberlin just announced a summer award redemption offer, where most awards (and there are more than 400 routes covered), are discounted by 50%. The cheapest is only 1,500 miles. All bookings must be made by June 23, 2015.
I just recently flew on Airberlin from Dusseldorf to New York, and the flight was just fine. In fact, I had a whole row to myself!
