World of Hyatt has announced a series of promotions with respect to the Chase World of Hyatt and the legacy Chase Hyatt credit cards. With the new promotions, World of Hyatt cardmembers can get Milestone Rewards and elevated status sooner for credit card spend. No registration is necessary for this promotion.
I’m a firm believer in loyalty, and if there’s one hotel brand that delivers more to its elite members, hands down, it’s World of Hyatt!
SPEND $5,000 – Get 3 Tier-Qualifying Night Credits (World of Hyatt Credit Card)
From April 15 through June 30, 2020, World of Hyatt Credit Cardmembers can earn three tier-qualifying night credits toward the next tier status for every $5,000 spent on their card. That includes the two qualifying night credit Cardmembers already earn, plus one bonus night credit.
SPEND $5,000 – Get 2 Tier-Qualifying Night Credits (Legacy Hyatt Credit Card)
From April 15 through June 30, 2020, legacy Hyatt Credit Cardmembers can earn two tier-qualifying night credits toward the next tier status for every $5,000 spent on their card.
BENEFITS OF THIS PROMOTION
Granted, we’re not traveling much (or at all) right now and our status and awards have been extended. However, I see certain benefits to this promotion.
Climb to Higher Status Level:
First, this promotion will enable cardmembers who are between elite status levels to turn purchases into higher elite status. In other words, if your status is currently Discoverist or Explorist, this promotion may help you bump up to the next level (and get certain Milestone Rewards along the way too).
Milestone Rewards:
Second, although World of Hyatt has extended elite status, a member will only earn certain rewards, called Milestone Rewards upon reaching a given number of nights – like Confirmable Suite Upgrades, Club Lounge Access Awards, FIND experiences, access to My Hyatt Concierge, Guest of Honor and Free Night Awards.
For example, at the present, I have 24 nights for 2020. Even though I am a Globalist member, and that status has been extended, I will not receive new Suite Upgrade Awards for 2021 unless I hit 50 nights (for 2 Suite Upgrade Awards) or 60 nights (for an additional 2 Suite Upgrade Awards) in the present year. Given the present circumstances, I don’t think I’ll hit 60 nights, but I might be able to get to 50, and get an additional 2 Suite Upgrade Awards (which are worth a lot to me) especially with the 3 tier night bonus on the World of Hyatt card.
TEN-TIER QUALIFYING NIGHT CREDITS FOR NEW WORLD OF HYATT CARDMEMBERS
As a World of Hyatt cardmember, I receive 5 tier-qualifying night credits each year. That means, to attain Globalist status, I essentially need only attain 55 nights rather than 60.
Chase is offering a new promotion – beginning April 15, 2020 for a limited time (through June 30, 2020), new World of Hyatt Cardmembers will automatically receive a total of 10 tier-qualifying night credits – that includes the five tier-qualifying night credits already received as a new Cardmember, plus five additional tier-qualifying night credits.
New Cardmembers get Discoverist status upon signing up for the card, which includes valuable benefits like late checkout, preferred room upgrades, 10% Bonus Point earning and more. With 10 tier-qualifying night credits, that gets them to earning Explorist status faster and more Milestone Rewards sooner.
If this is right for you, this would be a perfect time to apply for the World of Hyatt card. In addition Discoverist status and the 10 tier-qualifying nights, you will be able to earn up to 50,000 Bonus Points – 25,000 Bonus Points after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening, and another 25,000 Bonus Points after you spend $6,000 total within 6 months of account opening.
Other benefits include 1 free night at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel or resort after your Cardmember anniversary and an extra free night at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel if you spend $15,000 during your cardmember anniversary year. Plus, during the term of the above promotion, you’ll receive 3 qualifying night credits towards tier status every time you spend $5,000 on your card!

I just got my card 2 weeks ago and wonder if chase would match the offer?
