Airport Lounge: Iberia Premium Lounge Velázquez, Madrid Airport

The Iberia Premium Lounge Velázquez is a business class lounge located in Terminal 4S at Madrid Airport (officially known as Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport).

The lounge is large and attractive, with plenty of space and good food and drinks. It is a full service lounge which also offers, among other things, showers, a children’s play area and lockers.

There was also a separate area which had a wine bar and a tasting menu with local foods from Lanzarote, one of the islands in the Canary Islands.

I had entry to the lounge because I was flying Iberia from Madrid home to New York, and I have One World Emerald status by virtue of my status with American Airlines. I thought this was an excellent lounge. Personally, I thought the food served in the lounge was better than the food served on the flight.
