The Bilt Mastercard card is valuable in that it enables the cardholder to pay rent and earn points with the card even where credit card payments without a fee wouldn’t otherwise be permissible.
On the first of each month, Rent Day, Bilt runs a new special promotion. In addition, it also has certain other specials, detailed below, such as double points on the first of the month.
For the August 2023 Rent Day promotion, Bilt has partnered with Virgin Red to offer Bilt Members a special transfer bonus. Specifically, Bilt Members will get between 75% and 150% more Virgin Points for transfers of Bilt Points on August 1st as shown on the chart below.

The bonus will be based on a member’s status as of 8/1 (Bilt Status updates are reflected up to 96 hours after any earn action). Blue members must transfer a minimum of 2,000 Bilt Points.
Virgin Points can be used to book flights with Virgin Atlantic (including on SkyTeam partners like Delta), stay at Virgin Limited Edition resorts, book Virgin Experiences, and more.
In addition to the above, Bilt Members also earn double points on purchases made on the first of the month. Specifically, members with the Bilt Mastercard will earn double points across non-rent spend, including:
- DINING: 6x points (regularly 3x points)
- TRAVEL: 4x points (regularly 2x points)
- OTHER SPEND excluding rent: 2x points (regularly 1x points)
Cardholders will receive double earnings, up to 10,000 bonus points, from 12:00am ET on August 1 through 11:59pm PT on August 1st. The only prerequisite is that cardholders must use their card 5 times each statement period to earn points.
There will also be a trivia Point Quest™ challenge available in the Bilt app on August 1st whereby a member can win up to a total of 250 Bilt Points.
