When I received an invitation to a media party and preview of the haunted spectacular production known as Blood Manor, which makes its spooky extravagant appearance each year around Halloween, I quickly RSVP’ed. YES. I knew this would be a fright to behold!
It was ghoulish, bloody, scary, and so much fun. The event began across the street from the actual Blood Manor venue. As the guests were amicably enjoying a few cocktails and quiet conversation, the doors opened and a whole mess of creepy blood-covered demons and undead came rushing in. For at least an hour, we experienced blood-curdling thrills and chills as characters jumped around us, stood on tables, snuck up on us and scared us, terrorized us, punished us, lurked around, and told us of their woes or just simply that they wanted to cut us up and make a delicious stew of us!
For the record, I was spanked with paddles not once, but twice. I still don’t know how they knew that I was a very bad girl, but they knew.
Then, the cast of characters disappeared, and we were informed that it was our time to visit the Blood Manor performance. We walked though mazes of dark rooms, incredibly decorated, and were shocked by the ghastly scenes as the spooks came to life around us. At one point, we were even given 3D glasses to wear. Yes, I was scared and frightened at times, but it was a blast! We had so much fun.
I highly recommend a visit!
