Of the two of us, Dave is the one who loves food delivery (I’d rather walk the few blocks and pick up the order). Depending on which restaurant (including his beloved Pinkberry) he is ordering from, he might use Seamless, Grubhub or Uber Eats.
I don’t think he’s ever used DoorDash, another food delivery app, so, Dave, this post is for you!
DoorDash, which generally charges $5.99 for delivery (ergo, why we haven’t used it heretofore) has a free delivery service called DashPass, which ordinarily costs $9.99 per month.
However, if you have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card or the Chase Sapphire Preferred card, you’ll get DashPass for free for up to two years. If you have Chase Freedom card or the Chase Slate card, you’ll get DashPass for free for three months.
Simply sign up for DoorDash and add your Chase card as the default payment method. I did this on the DoorDash app and this message popped up.
If you don’t have a DoorDash account, you may use my referral link and you will receive $15 off ($5 off your first three orders of minimum $12 each) (thank you in advance for using my link).
In all honesty, I haven’t reviewed the selection of restaurants or the prices listed on the menu yet, so I can’t speak 100% to the value of DoorDash and DashPass, but this is definitely worth checking out if you (or a loved one) has one of the Chase cards listed above and likes food delivery. (I know Dave will be researching this one!)
