I was recently in Seattle for the Freddie Awards and Frequent Traveler University. Most of the activities were at the Marriott Airport Hotel, but I chose to stay at the Hilton Seattle Airport and Conference Center which was just a short walk (up a big hill) to the Marriott.
In my experience fitness centers at airport hotels consist of small, dark rooms with a few machines cramped in. The fitness center at the Hilton however is nothing like that. It is a fabulous fitness center.
Though I don’t know when it was built, it feels brand new. It is spacious and clean with a large window that looks out on the courtyard and outdoor pool. The machines are modern and plentiful. I loved the place – it was a truly great gym!
Right outside from the gym was an outdoor pool. Unfortunately, it was too cool to go swimming (and I didn’t really have the time) but it was really, really beautiful. Next time, perhaps.

It sure does sound better that the gyms I usually see in hotels. I am sending a link to my son; he stays in lots of Hiltons because his company books them for him often.
I think many of us have been busy reading about the #CharlotteDO, either to savor the weekend a little more or see what we missed. But I bet folks will come to this post via google.
Is there a way to link to your review from TripAdvisor? Maybe post a review there and include the link….? I do think people considering a stay at the Hilton Seattle Airport would find it most valuable.

Elaine! It sure was nicer than a lot of airport hotels. And great idea about linking to Tripadvisor. I have to figure out how to do that.
I have a lot of fitness center reviews ready to go – maybe I should just do some marathon postings? (pun intended)
