B&Bs for Vets is a campaign by an innkeepers association, Better Way to Stay, aimed at thanking both active and retired military and vets for their service to our countries.
For Veterans Day, hundreds of inns and B&Bs throughout the United States and Canada will offer free nights to both active and retired veterans ” so veterans can spend a day to honor them at a B&B and receive a smile and thank you from an innkeeper.”

As stated on the website:
Each year, the B&B industry celebrates the sacrifices offered by our courageous vets by offering free rooms on or around Veteran’s Day.
We look forward to the 5th Annual B&Bs for Vets celebration to take place Sunday, November 10 and Monday, November 11, 2013. You can search the list by state or scroll through all the offers. In order to accommodate all those deserving free stays, innkeepers may offer “first-timers” to the program priority for stays.

There is an awesome list of participating inns and B & Bs, but many are filling up, so I’d suggest that if you want to participate in this program, you do so quickly.
