With what seems like daily devaluations of hotel loyalty programs, it’s a pleasure to receive good news. One round came last week, with the announcement of the new Chase Hyatt Visa card.
Today, there’s another positive announcement and this one pertains to the SPG Business American Express Card. A free (though nothing is really free) annual night award.
These are the basics:
- Starting August 1, as a Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card Member, you’ll receive one Free Night Award every year after your Card account anniversary.
- Redeem your free night (redemption level at or under 35,000 points) at more than 6,300 hotels across 28 brands worldwide. (note: some hotels have resort fees – yuck).

For me, this may tip the scales in favor of keeping the card. What are your thoughts?
