A few days ago, after finishing a short run in Central Park, I walked past the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, on Fifth Avenue. I laughed when I saw this sign:
Well, sometime in the next week or so, Will Run For Miles will also have a little work done. It will still look the same, and still focus on the topics it currently explores, but perhaps it will be a little more stylish and perhaps a bit tweaked. A few tabs here, a few links there….. well, you get the picture.
One tab of the shinier Will Run For Miles will be devoted to hotel fitness. In particular, this will include, among other things:
- Hotel Submissions – posts written primarily by Hotel Representatives explaining what their properties offer and emphasize in terms of fitness, health facilities, gyms, pools and menu selections. In this regard, hotel personnel are invited to submit posts describing their hotels philosophy and offerings.
- Maps, Maps, Maps – including Jogging Maps and City Maps ~ It will be a weekly feature and probably be called Cuckoo for Jogging Maps! If you haven’t guessed – I LOVE EXPLORING NEW CITIES BY GOING OUT FOR A RUN! I JUST LOVE WHEN A CONCIERGE ENTHUSIASTICALLY MARKS UP A MAP WITH AVAILABLE ROUTES TO RUN! Readers are invited to contribute to this blog by asking for Jogging Maps at hotels they visit and to email them to WillRunForMiles@gmail.com. The maps will be featured and published here.
- Individual Hotel Reviews with an emphasis on the hotel’s fitness and health-related facilities.
- Hotel Fitness News and other related items of interest.
Please feel free to send Jogging Maps, and descriptions of hotel fitness facilities and other thoughts on this topic either by email or posting in the comments section.
