Samples of these items were sent to me as products great for a well-packed gym bag. These individually-packed snacks are nutritious and healthy and are perfect not only for the gym bag, but anytime or anyplace. For me, these items would be great in the late afternoon at work, when my energy is low and I need a pick-me-up! I also think endurance athletes and travelers would like them.

The “Go Organically Fruit Snacks” are candy, pure and simple. Ingredient # 1: Sugar. Ingredient # 2: Syrup (i.e. sugar). Ingredient # 3: Fruit juice (which is the nice, healthy sounding name for extracting water and sugar away from all of the healthy fibers of fruit).
Just because they’re organic and free of gluten and GMOs does not make this a healthy snack.
It’s candy. By weight, it’s a whopping 53% sugar. May as well guzzle a Pepsi. Hello obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.
A better travel snack idea is nuts — almonds and macadamia are my go-to snacks. Satiating, contain fibre, healthy fats, and protein … and no sugar.
