I am on another one of my staycations simultaneously trying to beat the summer heat and requalify for Hyatt Diamond status for 2017.
Hyatt House White Plains is located in Westchester County, New York. The hotel is in a corporate park and about a mile or two from a busy “town” with many stores and restaurants.
Hotel staff, including Earl at the front desk, were very friendly and helpful.
The room is a one bedroom suite with a small kitchen area – I’m not including photos because it looks like other Hyatt Houses. The decorative pillows on the sofa looked grungy, but otherwise the suite was very nice.
It’s a sweltering 90 degrees this morning so I decided to work out in the fitness center rather than outside.
It’s a great gym!
The air is cool and the space is well-designed and well-lit. There are windows on two sides and two walls are mirrored adding to the open, inviting feeling of the gym. The cardio machines are all made by Life Fitness: three treadmills, three elliptical machines and one stationary bicycle. There are free weights, but no circuit training machines.
Breakfast.
Outdoors, there is a nice lounging area and two Weber grills, for those who like to barbecue.
In addition the hotel has an larger than average outdoor pool as well as a small basketball court!
