Hyatt Adds 3 New Promos – 25% Points Back for Award Stays, Free Parking and More

World of Hyatt is ramping up it’s arsenal of great promotions. This round includes a point break of up to 25% off award stays, expansion of free parking, and extra points for dining.

Up to 25% Back for Award Stays aka Free Nights on Sale

For three months beginning today, July 8, 2020 through October 8, 2020, Hyatt members will receive 15% of their redeemed points back as Bonus Points when they redeem points for free night stays, Points + Cash stays, towards room upgrades, dining and spa services, and Exhale classes and spa therapies. 

World of Hyatt and Hyatt Credit Cardmembers will receive an additional 10% of their redeemed points back as Bonus Points, for a total of 25% of redeemed points back when used during the promotion period. 

With all the current promos, it’s really worth it right now to consider applying for the World of Hyatt Visa card.

 Free Parking Benefits Expanded 

Guests will receive free parking at participating Hyatt hotels or resorts for eligible stays on Free Night and Points + Cash Awards completed during the Promotion Period. Free parking is valid at Hyatt hotels or resorts that offer parking that can be billed to the guest room/folio. If both valet and self-parking are offered by the applicable hotel or resort, benefit is valid for either. Not valid at Hyatt Residence Club resorts, M life Rewards destinations, Small Luxury Hotels of the World hotels or Lindblad Expeditions. Offer does not apply to any night for which the guest is not staying on a Free Night or Points + Cash Award (e.g., upgrade awards or any paid night) or any non-stay award redemption (e.g., Dining, Spa and More Awards). In addition, Globalist members will also receive free parking for nights on an Eligible Rate during the Promotion Period (parking benefit subject to the restrictions herein).

3X Bonus for Dining aka Who Wants to Meet Me at the Andaz 5th Avenue for a Drink?

World of Hyatt members can earn triple (3X) points on eligible spend when not staying the night, for dine-in, takeout or delivery at participating outlets at Hyatt hotels and resorts, from July 8 to October 8, 2020.  World of Hyatt and Hyatt Credit Cardmembers already earn double points on dining, which means they can earn 5x points on eligible non-stay dining spend through this promotion when using their Card.

There are a bunch of provisos to this dining promo, most of which make sense:

Members may earn a maximum of 100,000 Bonus Points per transaction under this offer (in addition to any Bonus Points you may earn as an elite member).  Only Base Points are tripled, and all points awarded under this offer are Bonus Points. You must provide your World of Hyatt membership number at the time of purchase.

Offer not valid on alcoholic beverage purchases in certain jurisdictions. Member must use an Eligible Method of Payment to settle qualifying Eligible Non-Stay Charges. Eligible Methods of Payment do not include, without limitation, guest room or folio charges, hotel “House Accounts,” charges settled by a company or organization, charges billed to a guest room/folio or unit at a Hyatt-branded residence, point redemptions, award redemptions, Hyatt-branded gift cards, Hyatt gift cheques, or property-specific gift card/certificates. Failure to pay for purchases renders this offer void.

I’m very happy with this promotion which supplements many of the previously announced promotions. I’m especially happy with the 25% bonus for free night awards, as I’ve been contemplating some extended staycations since I’m presently landlocked and working remotely!
