Today Hyatt has announced new changes to its Milestone Award chart for World of Hyatt loyalty members.
See: More milestones. More rewards. More choices.
While the new Milestone Award chart offers good incentives for members at every level, I’m concentrating here on the benefits for the heavy hitters: those who for business or other reasons stay at Hyatt hotels more than 60 nights, or even more than 100 nights. Up until now, there were no additional benefits for those who stayed more than 100 nights. We heard a lot of complaints from them – claiming that their super loyalty wasn’t being sufficiently recognized or rewarded. Often after 100 nights, they’d turn their business for the remainder of the year to other hotel chains to double-dip on loyalty status.
The new chart, among other things begins Milestone awards at 20 nights, makes Guest of Honor stays available to more members (i.e., not just Globalists), and emphasizes FIND experiences more than before.
Concentrating on the heavy hitters, it looks like Hyatt wants to keep those members around, at least until 150 nights!
At 70, 80 and 90 nights, in addition to a choice of 10,000 points or a suite upgrade, members can also choose a $300 FIND experience credit, and all such members will receive an additional Guest of Honor award.
At 100 nights, the member will receive a Category 1-7 Free Night Award which can also be used at a Category A-D all-inclusive resort with a choice of 10,000 Bonus Points, a Suite Upgrade Award or a Miraval Extra Night Award.
At 110, 120, 130 and 140 nights, the member receives an additional Guest of Honor award and a choice of 10,000 Bonus Points, a Suite Upgrade Award or a Miraval Extra Night Award.
Finally, at the pinnacle of 150 nights, the member receives what Hyatt calls the Ultimate Free Night Award – a free night in any participating Category 1-8 hotel, Category A-F all-inclusive resort or Miraval resort, and a choice of 10,000 Bonus Points, a Suite Upgrade Award or a Miraval Extra Night Award.

(pardon the rush, but I’ve got a plane to catch….!)
