Airport Lounge: Plaza Premium Lounge – London Heathrow Airport

Won’t Run and I had three flights home from Mykonos, Greece, beginning with 2 Germanwings flights, from Mykonos to Cologne, Germany and then from Cologne to London Heathrow. We expected that we would have a few hours to relax at Heathrow before the longer flight home, and perhaps even to lounge-hop a bit, but, due to a series of snafus, we only had about 20-minutes of lounge time.

UK security was a PITA, but when we (finally) emerged into Terminal 2, the Plaza Premium Lounge, which accepts Priority Pass, was right there.

The agent who helped us was extremely friendly and welcoming. I forgot to bring a UK adapter, and he even loaned one to me!

Once inside, Won’t Run and I scurried to use the restrooms, grab some food and hurried glasses of wine. The lounge fairly large and well-decorated. The food was pretty good.

Won’t Run turned to me and said that he really liked this lounge – it was unfortunate that we had practically no time there.

The bar was not self-serve, and the drinks, including the wines, were measured out by the bartender.

Overall, the lounge was very nice.  If only we had more time there!
