You might remember the historic rise and fall of MoviePass a few years back. Well, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, MoviePass has announced that it is relaunching!
Enter MoviePass, part deux! MoviePass, the sequel!
According to the MoviePass website a new Beta service will be relaunching on or around September 5th Labor Day 2022. It will open in waves to different markets in the United States.
The new service will feature all major theaters that accept major credit cards in the US. There will be 3 pricing tiers. Prices will vary depending on each market but the general prices will be $10, $20, $30. Each level will get a certain amount of credits to be able to use towards movies each month.
Regarding former MoviePass members, the website provides that returning customers who were on the waitlist will receive complimentary bonus credits to their account when joining.
Did you receive an email from MoviePass? I didn’t, but a friend who lives in a southern state did receive such an email.
Beginning tomorrow, August 25th at 9am ET through Monday August 29, 2022, you can sign up for the waitlist for MoviePass.
Will you be signing up?
MoviePass used to restrict what movies could be seen. Major releases and opening weekend tickets were not allowed. I’ll be interested to see if they remove those restrictions.
Yes I will be signing up tomorrow.
