This week I flew Delta Business (renamed Delta One) Class to Amsterdam, connecting to a 40 minute flight to Luxembourg in a KLM “Fokker” Cityhopper. I used 62,500 SkyMiles for this one way trip ( I’ll be returning home on Air Berlin out of Düsseldorf.)
The Business Class area was only about half full. Each passenger was given a Tumi Amenuty kit, and a good quality full-sized pillow and blanket.
Before take-off, the FA came around with glasses of champagne and packets of designer nuts.
After take-off, dinner was served. First, we were given a plate with 3 grilled shrimp and a remoulade type sauce, which was good.
Then a wedge of lettuce with blue cheese (I sent it back because I detest blue cheese). Then a Thai Coconut Curry soup which was surprisingly spicy but good.
Is it my imagination or did the bread look somewhat erotic?
For the main course there were a number of choices.
I chose the Braised Beef Short Ribs with Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli. Believe it or not, it was excellent!
For dessert, I chose the chocolate sundae over the fruit and cheese platter, but it was just OK.
The seats were comfortable both upright and in a flat bed position. I watched a movie and tried to sleep.
There was also breakfast, which included eggs and potatoes. I wasn’t hungry so I just had coffee and the melon. The connecting flight was out of Terminal B, which of course was at the other end of the airport. There was a humongous passport control line to pass to the other terminals, but since I was traveling in a premium class, I was able to go on a very short line! Love it!
I stopped in at the KLM lounge at lounge 25. Previously, I’ve always gone to the KLM lounge at Lounge 52. It was very crowded. I grabbed a coffee and checked my email and proceeded to my gate.

It’s rare to read a Delta international business class review! Thank you WillRunForMiles! BTW, I like your passport holder (golden crocodile leather?) Was this flight to take you to run at the Luxembourg night marathon this past Saturday?

That international D1 is no diff than JFK/LAX on a 767. Lounge 25 and Lounge 52? Did you mean Gate 52?
Will Run For Miles says
at Schipol, each of the Lounges are numbered. Lounge 25 and Lounge 52 are both KLM Crown Lounges.
