Happy days are here again…..

Its so nice when good deals come back.  Well now there are a number of Amex specials running concurrently.  I’m not even reporting all of them here, just two of them.

As Milesquest reports, the Amex Shop Small special, where you check in on Foursquare and unlock specials at businesses is back! 

Under the current special, you will receive a $5 Amex statement credit when you check in at a participating business on Foursquare, unlock the special, and spend $10 using your synced Amex card.

But Wait!  That’s not all. 

I checked on a few restaurants on Foursquare yesterday, and saw that there were more specials running concurrently. 

I used the restaurant Aldea as an example. Aldea is a Michelin star restaurant which participates in both the British Airways dining special and in the NYC Restaurant week. 

When I looked it up on Foursquare I saw three specials.  One is unrelated to Amex, allowing a 20% discount simply for checking in on foursquare.  The second is the “spend $10, get $5” off from Amex, and the third is “Spend 24, get $5 off” also from Amex.

So… its beneficial to always check whether the restaurant or other establishment  you are at has a special on foursquare, and participates in any Amex specials.
