There is a new offer on some of the American Express Credit Cards – UBER!
Get a one-time $5 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $15 or more in the Uber app by 7/25/2015.
Check for offers: log into your American Express account, check the offers at the bottom of the page for each of your eligible American Express Cards. I have this offer on two of my cards.
Accepting the offers:
1) if you only have the offer on one card, simply click on “add to card”
2) if you have the offer on two or more cards, open your American Express account in two windows on your computer, and go to the offer for each American Express Card. Position the screen so that the Uber Offer for card #1 is open in window #1 and the Uber Offer for card #2 is open in window #2 (and so on). Then click and accept each of the offers.
QUESTION: Since I will have the offer on 2 cards, my question then is whether I can split a $30 bill between the two cards, or whether I can only use one offer at a time?

In order to be eligible, you must use your enrolled Card as the credit card on file for your Uber account to pay Uber $15 or more for a single ride by 7/25/15. If you apply a promo code or Uber credit toward your payment for the ride, you will only receive the statement credit if the remaining balance is $15 or more. Offer is non-transferable. Offer not available for redemption when you select to “Use Points” in the Uber app to redeem points for a ride. Offer not valid on UberT in New York City, or other services in which payment does not occur via Uber’s app. For Amex Every Day Card products, extra points awarded for this offer do not count for the Extra Points Benefit. Only valid for rides taken in the US. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you will not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it.
