Hyatt has released a news release announcing:
. . . plans for the Párisi Udvar Hotel in Budapest – joining Hôtel du Louvre in Paris as the second hotel in Europe for The Unbound Collection by Hyatt and third outside of the U.S.
Hyatt has entered into a franchise agreement with Párizs Property Kft for the project, which will see Brudern House in downtown Budapest converted into an upper-upscale 110-room hotel. The Párisi Udvar Hotel is expected to open in 2018 and will be managed by Mellow Mood Hotels, a leading Hungarian hotel operator.
According to We Love Budapest,
The Brudern House is an eclectic residential and office building in the 5th district of Budapest, located at Ferenciek Square. The passageways of Paris Court (Párizsi Udvar) are found on the ground floor of the building. It was designed by Schmall Henrik and built between 1909 and 1912. The building that has been protected since 1976 shows traits of Arabic, Moorish and Gothic architectural styles. The shopping court is lit by a wonderful glass dome.
Okay, I’m excited. I’ve been to Prague, but still haven’t been to Budapest!
