Well this made my day – or at least the start of my day! Hyatt has just announced that the The Time Hotel in Nyack, NY has become Hotel Nyack in Hyatt’s Joie de Vivre lifestyle brand!
The 133-room hotel with loft-style accommodations housed within the framework of a four-story, former factory, has plans to renovate several portions of the hotel including its culinary offering. An open, industrial feel and reflection of the urban neighborhood within the property’s contemporary design lends itself to the overall heartfelt and inclusive spirit of the Joie de Vivre brand. An urban stopover, less than an hour drive from New York City, all guests will notice touches of greater New York influence throughout the unprecedented level of excellence and service at Hotel Nyack.
It looks like a nice boutique hotel.

What does that mean for me? It means another staycation option close to New York City, but far enough to feel like I’ve gone away! Until now, my main staycation locations north of, but close to Manhattan, have been the Hyatt House Fishkill and the Hyatt Regency Greenwich. Both are category 2 hotels, as is Hotel Nyack!
Those who live north of Nyack, will of course consider this a nice place downstate to stay! And there’s plenty to do in Nyack, NY from beaches to historical sites to shopping.
I’m so thrilled, I already made a reservation for next weekend!! Review to follow…..

Beaches? In Nyack? I’m local and would like to know where the beaches are, unless you mean Rye beach?
