Nothing Odd About the New EVEN Hotel, NYC, Midtown East

The EVEN Hotel, NYC, Midtown East, an IHG brand hotel devoted to wellness and healthy living, held a grand opening gala at the hotel on March 2, 2017. The theme was 2017 Wellness Trends and the co-sponsor of the event was MindBodyGreen, or MBG for short.

The event did not disappoint. The party space was lively and vibrant. It was well attended by many IHG and MBG employees who were totally accessible, friendly and knowledgeable. There was a bar offering beer and wine and mescal by Gem & Bolt ( Yay, mescal!!). There were also plenty of delicious snacks.

In a heated terrace room, you could tune in to some guided meditations from Inscape.

The fitness center was being used as the coat room for the party (that’s called multi-tasking), but the space looked clean and open and the equipment looked modern.

We were given a tour of some EVEN rooms (note: there are no ODD numbered rooms at the EVEN hotel). Each room is smartly decorated and comfortable. And …. Keurig coffee machines (yay again, especially after a night of mescal!)

The rooms are so conducive to working out! there’s equipment, balance balls, workout videos – you name it!! Each room is like a mini-gym!

Overall, this is a great hotel. It is close to Grand Central Station and Rockefeller Center (areas I prefer over Times Square) but easily accessible to any part of New York City.

The only thing that was lacking when I left was a goody bag. I guess they ran out while I was getting the tour.
