Plastiq is a Valuable Tool for Bill Payments

Plastiq is an online bill payment service that lets you pay almost all of your bills and expenses by credit card – including bills that would not otherwise be payable by credit card (such as rent, tuition and taxes). The fee for this service is 2.5%.

Sometimes Plastiq runs promotions (such as the now-expired Masterpass promotion where whereby payments of $250 was fee-free). However, even without such a promotion, Plastiq remains an easy and valuable resource for paying bills by credit card. My cooperative doesn’t let me pay monthly maintenance for my apartment by credit card and I hate spending all that money without being able to earn points and miles for it. But with Plastiq I can!

In addition to the Check Payment option, Plastiq offers payments by  Domestic Wire (Payment arrives same-day), International Wire (Payment arrives next-day), or ACH Direct Deposit (Payment arrives in 4-5 Business Days or Expedited option available).

Plastiq is especially useful for meeting credit card minimum spends and a good mechanism for spending gift cards. So, I often liquidate Mastercard or Visa gift cards by using them to pay for my cooperative maintenance via Plastiq.

For business payments, you can pay virtually any vendor or supplier in 150+ countries around the world same-day/next-day using a credit card and the Plastiq fee can be written off in part or in full, thus earning more points/rewards.
