One Happy Island will soon have another World of Hyatt Brand hotel!
People who love Aruba (i.e., ME!) have been anxiously watching and awaiting the opening of the new Secrets Resort Baby Beach in San Nicolas, Aruba.
The hotel website depicts a beautiful, serene, luxurious all-inclusive, adults-only resort. This is a photo (or rendition?) of the hotel and the main pool.
This is the Junior Suite King (the base level room) boasting 618 square feet, with garden views and a private, furnished balcony or terrace.
This is the Preferred Club Lounge.
I am a huge fan of the Hyatt Regency Aruba Hotel in Palm Beach in the Noord section of Aruba. I’ve stayed there twice, first in 2023 and recently in 2024 (here is my 2023 review, the 2024 review will be posted shortly).
Below is a map showing the close distance between the two properties, courtesy of Google Maps (Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba and the location of Queen Beatrix International Airport is roughly half way between the two properties). It certainly would be easy to plan stays at both the Hyatt Regency and the Secrets Baby Beach in order to experience two different sides of the island.
Reservations are now being accepted from June 5, 2025 on.
In my opinion, the cash rates seem rather expensive at the moment. This is the rate for the Junior Suite King for the night of June 5th.
At the moment, Secrets Baby Beach Aruba does not have a category assigned and award stays cannot yet be booked with points. Also, none of the special rates appear to be working. For those who want to book award stays at the property, hopefully we’ll know soon what the category of the property is and how many points per night will be required for an award stay.
To conclude, Secrets Baby Beach Aruba will be a welcome addition to the World of Hyatt all-inclusive portfolio, and a nice complement to other Hyatt properties on the island. However, the resort is yet to announce its point redemption details. Prospective guests should stay tuned for updates on award stays.
