SPIbelt – Review, Discount and Giveaway!

Years ago, when I was running a lot of marathons, one of my favorite pastimes was going to expos and buying new products. I bought an early version of the SPIbelt (SPI is an acronym for Small Personal Item). At the time, they were a simple tech stretch pouch on a belt. It was love at first sight. It was pre-smartphone days and my then tiny Motorola StarTAC flip phone (remember those?) fit neatly in the pouch along with a credit card, a dollar or two and a key. Such a small item had big uses!

Over the years,  the SPIbelts matured – there are many more products and styles. The material of the pouch and the belt evolved and got sturdier, but still pliable.  I use a SPIbelt regularly for running.  If I go to the gym, I put my essentials in a SPIbelt rather than bringing a wallet or purse.  I also bring SPIbelts traveling, as a great way to keep items such as my passport, money, credit cards and/or keys, safely and securely on my person, rather than in a purse.

I like it because it actually has two pouches. This way, if I am running, and want to carry additional items, such as an inhaler for my asthma or reading glasses, I can easily carry them without feeling bogged down. Likewise, if I’m traveling, it gives me extra room for all of my really important stuff (like business cards, mints and lipstick).

On this rainy day, I put my iPhone in a plastic bag inside my SPIbelt and it didn’t get wet!
