I don’t often fill out surveys, or, even when I do, I abandon the endeavor half way through if the procedure is too cumbersome. When I ‘m phoning an airline or hotel, and the bot voice says, would you like to take a short survey after your call?, I can’t say no fast enough.
So, when do I fill out surveys? When I feel I have something to add positive or negative (usually positive), or when there is some incentive for taking the time to answer the questions. It’s nice when the company who wants me to spend the time to answer questions about my experience values my time enough to offer me a token of appreciation.
When it comes to Starbucks, that token is a bonus star. Here is the email I received today.
The survey was quick and easy to answer. It took about a minute, and then I got this message:
Thank you for your time and participation!
In appreciation of your time and feedback, we will credit your My Starbucks Rewards account with 1 star within 3 days.
You may now close this window to exit the survey.
I’m looking forward to my star. I should note that this is the first time I’ve received such an invitation to participate in a survey from Starbucks. Is this something new? Have you received a similar offer?
