Today and tomorrow you can visit ‘The Slowdown’—a two day pop-up immersive experience at Grand Central Terminal in New York City sponsored by IHG and Chase designed to instantly transport visitors to idyllic vacation destinations around the world.
The theme of this campaign is to encourage travelers to press pause on life’s fast-paced lifestyle and stressors – to unplug, unwind and slow down – and to take the moments as inspiration to plan and enjoy travel experiences.
Exhibit visitors are guided through a labyrinth-style structure surrounded by picturesque vacation destinations via 360-digital media displays.
Three of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ more than 6,000 destinations across 18 hotel brands are featured in order to highlight and illustrate the Slowdown theme: a Six Senses Resort, an Intercontinental Resort and a Kimpton Resort – one in the French Alps (Six Senses Residences Courchevel,), one in Bali (InterContinental Bali Resort) and one in Paris (Kimpton St Honoré Paris). I’d happily visit any or all of these locations right now!
The experience is augmented by visiting the Slowdown Experience on a smartphone so you can see snow falling on the alps, the sun in Bali and flickering lights over the Eifel Tower.
Of course, the theme of this exhibit is not only to slowdown and to travel more but also to illustrate how the Chase IHG credit cards (Chase IHG One Rewards Traveler and Premier Credit Cards) provide more ways to earn points and therefore enable more travel!

are they giving out any free points (or other)?
they did that a few years ago at their pop up stand at the oculus at WTC for a similar promo.
