As I wrote about here [Buy Apple Products for 35% Off], Urban Daddy was recently selling gift cards to the New York City store, TekServe, for discounts of up to 35%. Many people purchased these cards.
Now, a number of people are reporting that they have received notices of cancellation of some or all of their purchases. I have not received any such notification yet.
Hello,
Thank you for your recent Perks purchase of gift cards from TekServe.
I regret to inform you that our Perks Partner, based on its own in-store policies, is unable to fulfill your order. TekServe only allows one gift card to be used at a time and to avoid any confusion when purchasing they have asked us to cancel orders for customers that purchased multiple gift cards. I apologize for any inconvenience.
I have issued you a refund for all your gift cards. The refund will post to your account in the next 2 to 3 business days.
Please let me know if I can assist with anything else.
Best,
Doug
Well thanks Doug. A number of unhappy people have brought this development to my attention, including Jay Wogi, Trevor from Tagging Miles, Free-quent Flyer, Oren’s Money Saver, Matt from Saverocity. Many thanks.
What will be done? I will report more information as it is learned.

I think the only confusion being avoided is the confusion when they realized they discounted too steeply and the demand was greater than anticipated.
They should honor all the cards, but surely at least one per customer.

I agree. I haven’t gotten any notices of cancellation yet. I bought one of each amount.
