Last night, I took a trip around the world. I attended an event at the Andaz 5th Avenue in Manhattan celebrating all Andaz hotels, and in particular, four new Andaz hotels — Andaz Delhi, Andaz Ottawa Byward Market, Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya and Andaz Scottsdale Resort and Spa.
There were rooms, food and drinks dedicated to each of these new global locations, and Andaz managers from around the world were also on hand to discuss their particular location and property.
The Delhi Room was beautiful. There was an incredible flowered mirror area with a throne-like seat, perfect for selfies! This room was actually outdoors, but I didn’t realize it until I looked up beyond the beautiful lanterns and saw the sky above me.
The Delhi specialty drinks were delicious!
The Ottawa room was where you could find the Canadian desserts. There were also some cool statue-like performers painted in white on a stage.
With a Polaroid camera, it looked like this:

The Mayan Gods were looking over the Mayakoba room. It was dark and filled with smoke and incense. There, you could receive your own specially made incense for relaxation, stress reduction or invigoration. In the Scottsdale room, you could make your own spin-art.This lead into the global food room. I love tuna poke, so I stayed close to the Maui table. I was in poke heaven. All of the food was delicious and plentiful, much of it hailing from the three California-based Andaz hotels, and wine from Napa naturally!
What a fun night. I can’t wait to visit all of these hotels.
Don’t forget the hashtag: #WhenInAndaz….

When you visit Ottawa, please allow me to bring you a “real”/authentic Beaver Tail. The one in the picture is an abomination! No wonder Andaz Ottawa wasn’t tweeting food pics from this event 😉
Thanks for covering the event, nice read – cheers!

ooomph. maybe it was my photo skills and not the beaver tail? I didn’t have one, so I can’t tell you if it was delicious or not, but most everything Andaz does is fabulous…
