After three nights of carnivorous skewered meat debauchery at traditional Brazilian churrascarias (see, a Trip To Brazil Requires a Meal at a Churrascaria), my soul (and arteries) longed for something other than another slab of meat. Enter Emporio Com Arte, rated the number one restaurant in Foz do Iguacu by TripAdvisor. By our last day in Iguazu, we were familiar with the city, and nothing seemed that far away anymore. We walked from our hotel to the restaurant for a late lunch before our flight that evening to Peru.
As it was an off-time, the restaurant was empty when we arrived. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Won’t Run and I ordered savory crepes that were filled with meat and topped with a tomato sauce. The food was tasty and the meal was reasonably priced.
Dessert looked delicious and homemade:
I really enjoyed the quaint, kitsch design of the cafe. The arts and crafts memorabilia throughout the restaurant are fabulous! In fact, there was nothing I didn’t like about this place. If you visit Igazu, go here after you’ve had your fill of meat! Or go here for lunch or desert. But, go here. It’s really cute.
Here are some photos.
