I don’t think a day goes by that I don’t use both the Kayak website and the Kayak App. When I am researching hotels, airports or car rentals (and When am I not researching travel?), it is where I begin my research. I also receive daily “price alert” emails from Kayak for all the flights I am “watching.”
According to the iTunes store, the Kayak App (which is free):
Includes flight and car search, hotel search and booking, flight tracker and My Trips, so you have your full itinerary at your fingertips. And of course, KAYAK is free.
– Compare flight, hotel and car rental deals
– Book your hotel, right in the app. Just choose KAYAK as your booking option
– Track your flight status
– View and manage your trip itinerary
– Look up baggage fees
– Access airline numbers and airport info
This week, Starbucks’ Pick of the Week offers the Kayak Pro App (regularly 99 cents) for free. (Yes, I know its only a buck, but isn’t it nice to get the app for free?) The Kayak Pro App is basically the same as the regular Kayak App, except it also includes airport terminal maps for over 100 airports and is free of advertisements.
You can pick up the Pick of the Week card at any Starbucks. The instructions for download are on the back of the card, together with a unique “Download Code” for use on iPods, iPhones and/or iPads. Briefly, all you need to do is:
1. open the iTunes App Store2. tap “featured” and scroll to bottom3. tap redeem4. enter the code5. download the app
I am going to go to Starbucks and see if I can get some extra Pick of the Week cards. So, if you are unable to find one of these Pick of the Week cards at your local Starbucks, leave a post below with your email address, and I’ll provide you with a Download Code.
