Jogging Map: Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport (www.WillRunForMiles.com) |
If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you know that I have a thing for Jogging Maps. In fact, I’m Cuckoo for Jogging Maps! From time to time, I post jogging maps that I or others have gotten in our travels. While Westin Hotels features jogging maps online, none of the other hotel chains, to my knowledge, does.
Until now.
Nearly all of the Hyatt hotels have jogging maps, and they are all similarly designed. I regularly ask for them at the Concierge desk. And, yes, I collect them.
The other day, I was checking for reservations at the Hyatt Regency Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing. I looked under the category “Guest Services” and then the sub-category “Additional Services” and then I saw it: a link that said WALKING/JOGGING TRAIL MAP! Sure enough, the Jogging Map for that property is now available online – as a pdf file!
Here it is: Penn’s Landing Jogging Map.
This is very exciting! Often, before I travel, I like to see the available jogging paths, routes and distances. Sometimes I even like to plan out my exercise before the trip (of course, despite good intentions, the run doesn’t happen, but nevermind that). The online Hyatt jogging map furnishes the exact information that I, as a runner/jogger/walker, need in a clear, concise and attractive map!
My question is this: is Hyatt in the process of uploading all of their hotels’ jogging maps online, and, if so, when will jogging maps be available system-wide, or will jogging maps only be available online for some of the properties?
I randomly looked up various Hyatt properties to see if others had the jogging maps available online as well. I looked at about 20 hotels, and found an online jogging map at only one hotel in my search: the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport.
Here is: Hyatt SFO’s Jogging Map.
Since I found at least two Hyatt properties with online jogging maps, I’m sure there are others too. From the Fitness perspective, this is very encouraging news!
