This Saturday, September 23, 2017, is Smithsonian Museum Day Live!  Participating museums and cultural institutions across the country provide free entry to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket. Each Museum Day Live! ticket provides free admission for two people.

HOW MUSEUM DAY WORKS:

1: Find a participating museum here
2: Download your ticket here
3: Head to the museum on Saturday, 9/23/17!

You You may download one ticket per email address. Just to be safe, I would suggest printing out the ticket.

I chose three Manhattan museums:

Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum  (reason: this is a fabulous museum close to where I live. I haven’t been there since the redesign. Entry is usually expensive and free entry is rare).

The Morgan Library & Museum (reason: I have never been here before but always wanted to visit).

Asia Society & Museum (reason: I have never been here before but I am interested in Asian history and Art).
