JetBlue just extended the dates to book travel through September 4th, so now you can make and book your summer plans!
FORT LAUDERDALE EVENT
I recently attended an event in New York City sponsored by Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau. There were hospitality, cultural and restaurant partners galore in attendance, including, but not limited to Greater Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood CRA, Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, Brightline, Four Seasons (Fort Lauderdale), Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District, Pelican Grand Beach Resort, Galleria, B Ocean Fort Lauderdale, NSU Art Museum, Divers and Dancers, Florida Dance Vacations, Superior Small Lodgings, Shipwreck Park, Gulfstream Park, Port Everglades, Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale and Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa. Last but not least, JetBlue was also a sponsor. The event took place in a trendy five-story townhouse, with all sorts of colorful and interactive exhibits and events on each floor.
The night was fabulous – I got to meet many of the representatives, and enjoyed good food and beverages. I last visited Fort Lauderdale 2 or 3 years ago and am well overdue for another visit. I could even see myself buying a home there and becoming a snowbird!
For entertainment, there were even mermaids swimming in a pool! How can you top that?
At the end of the evening there was a drawing for a prize from JetBlue. Two lucky winners would each win a travel certificate good for 2 round-trip tickets to anywhere JetBlue flies. From the floor above the winners names were called . . .
And then, I heard my name. I almost fainted. I won two RT tickets from JetBlue!
Yes, as mentioned above, I am ready for another trip to Ft. Lauderdale. But I think I’ll pay my way on that flight (there are always good fares from New York to Florida) and use my JetBlue ticket for another destination.
HOW I WILL USE THE JETBLUE TRAVEL CERTIFICATES
I have been anxiously waiting for JetBlue’s schedule to open because JetBlue flies from New York JFK to Liberia, Costa Rica and I have a trip to the Andaz Papagayo in Costa Rica planned for next summer! I visited the Andaz Papagayo last year, and I loved it. (Here’s my REVIEW).
How perfect is that? I think this would be an excellent use of my winning tickets.

Congratulations! Love Fort Lauderdale (bit biased since I live here). The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau is actually in the building where I work – they put on great events. Those snow birds are making their way down here this time of year! 🙂
