A few months ago, I attended the grand opening party for the Hyatt Centric Times Square hotel – It’s a great hotel and convenient to everything New York City has to offer.
I have two brand new luggage straps from the event to give away.
They are durable and adjustable and, well, really cool – especially for the Hyatt geek that I am.
Want one? All you need to do is:
- Leave a comment here with a luggage tip or hack
- Follow Will Run For Miles on Twitter
- Tweet something like Enter to Win a really cool Luggage Strap from Will Run For Miles @katruns26point2 (including a link to this post)
You can comment and tweet a maximum of once per day. The contest will end Wednesday January 31st at 6pm EST. Sorry, USA entrants only. I will choose the winners in my sole discretion and they will be announced shortly thereafter.

I always take a pic of my luggage sticker tags that agents put on my boarding pass, in case I lose them somehow and my checked-in luggage gets lost or delayed.

Use a hotel shower cap to pack your extra pair of shoes in.

Kirkland luggage is the best. If it breaks at any time they will take it back.
By the way…I’m at the airport now heading to Hawaii and staying at a Hyatt!

I’m jealous!

Bring a small, combination coil lock & use it to lock your carry on luggage to a piece of furniture in your hotel room – so it doesn’t “walk away!”

I have a piece of duct tape on the side of the suitcase to recognize it; fairly ghetto, but most suitcases look beat up after a couple trips anyways….
Will Run For Miles says
“fairly ghetto” ha ha

My company gave us bright red handle wraps to cushion our suitcase grips as well as make them easy to spot on the conveyor belts. Luckily, they can be had on ebay for a few dollars as well – no need to endure busy season in public accounting!

My life changed:
1) The day may daughter was born
2) The day I bought a carry-on that fits under the seat.
Now I’m a proud dad of an awesome 14 year old. And I no longer stand in line, preferring to wait until everyone else has boarded while sipping a latte with pinky extended.
(disclaimer: my second point may not work for those other than 50 yr old men with no hair care products or elaborate outfits that cannot be packaged into an 8x11x18 bag. Just sayin’)

this is great. What fills my bags is gym stuff.

Hyatt Pace Waikiki was great! The stay there made me think of another space saver for packing. The hotel offered items for free if you forgot an item or items you could buy or borrow. If you reach out to the hotel before you leave you may be able to borrow a better blow dryer, curling iron, yoga mat, or other item you were going to pack that the hotel may already have.

I think that all hyatt places have that – except they often don’t let you know that they do – which defeats the purpose. I remember at one HP they had a full set of weights to work out in your room – but I never knew it.

Most hotels, in general, offer such amenities. (Love your blog, @Will Run For Miles!)
