Hi everyone. I’m trying to catch up on my hotel and trip reports for 2018 – I traveled a lot – both domestically and internationally, so let’s start with Baltimore, Maryland.
I went to Baltimore for a weekend getaway with a bunch of friends. The Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor was a perfect choice on every level.
Baltimore is easily accessible by both train (Amtrak) and plane (BWI). The hotel is only steps away from the Inner Harbor (perfect for my morning runs!), and it is also right across the street from the Sheraton, for those friends who wished to stay at a Marriott/SPG hotel.
The hotel is large and modern – with nearly 500 rooms.
Check-in was swift and friendly.
As a World of Hyatt Globalist, I am always happy when I get a suite upgrade. The suite I was assigned went beyond my expectations. It was a premier suite, nearly 1,000 square feet (and officially larger than my New York City apartment). The living room area actually had many components – a dining area, a living room, a sitting room with a desk and a kitchen area.
The bedroom was also spacious, and I liked that it wasn’t shaped like a square – it was more of a trapezoid.
There were two bathrooms, one had a shower, the other a bathtub. This is the main bathroom.
The Regency Club was very nice. Breakfast was served in the morning, and appetizers and wine in the evening.
Breakfast:
In the evening, there was a selection of hors d’oeuvres and beverages. The wine is complimentary (How did I forget to take a photo of the wine?).
The hotel is obviously a great choice for a mid-week business stay, meeting or conference. It is likewise a fabulous choice for a weekend excursion with family or friends.
