A few days ago, at this post, I discussed Club Carlson (the hotel loyalty program for Radisson Hotels, Country Inn and Suites, Park Plaza Hotels and Park Inn Hotels).
I indicated that a big promotion is on its way, and gave a code for additional points when joining Club Carlson. Unfortunately, the link for the bonus 4,500 points for new members is no longer working, but I’m told that this code will give new members 2,000 points for signing up: NSB2K12 (hat tip to @Theinfamousdx on twitter).
The promotion has been announced and it’s a great promotion – one I will take advantage of and highly recommend.
Actually, there are three promotions, for three of the Club Carlson family of hotels.
Radisson and Radisson Blu “Big Night Giveaway” – receive 50,000 Club Carlson points after registering and staying one night at a Radisson hotel between May 15th and July 15th (Limited to first 100,000 registrants)
Country Inn & Suites “Stay One Get One” Promotion – receive 44,000 Club Carlson points after registering and staying one night at a Country Inn & Suites between May 15th and July 15th (Limited to first 35,000 registrants)
Park Inn Hotels “One Plus One” Promotion – receive 44,000 Club Carlson points after registering and staying one night at a Park Inn hotel between May 22nd and July 22nd (Limited to first 20,000 registrants).
Registration for the Radisson and the Country Inn & Suites promotions begin at 12:00 a.m. CST (i.e., 1:00 a.m. on the East Coast) on May 15th, and for the Park Inn Hotels promotion at 12:00 a.m. CST (i.e., 1:00 am for New Yorkers) on May 22nd. Each promotion requires separate registration.

If you register for all three promotions, you can reap 138,000 points after only three stays. That’s the equivalent of three nights at some of the “higher end” Radisson family properties, or more than 15 stays at many of the other Radisson hotels. Plus, as I indicated in my prior post, these hotels often offer good “cash plus points” options.
For further details, I suggest looking at the posts by Mommypoints and Loyalty Traveler – and for ideas on how to make those 138,000 points into even more points, Frequent Miler.
I took advantage of a very similar promotion last year. My qualifying night was the Radisson Airport hotel at Tucson Airport in December 2011 – having arrived in Arizona a few days before the Tucson Marathon. It was a lovely suite hotel. As a result, I earned 50,000 points.
So, set your clocks and let me know how you fared!
