Fitness Center Review – Hyatt Regency Cleveland at the Arcade

I recently had the pleasure of  visiting Cleveland, Ohio to  run the Cleveland Marathon.  I stayed at the lovely Hyatt Regency Cleveland at the Arcade.  My trip and marathon reports are here and here, and the jogging map is here.

The Fitness Center at the Hyatt Regency Cleveland at the Arcade is unique, as it is literally right in the Arcade.   In addition to hotel rooms, there are also stores on the Arcade, but this door in particular goes to the StayFit (TM) Center.

The fitness center is nicely decorated, as if it were a living room rather than a gym.    Notice the artwork, as well as the magazines and the television.

Inside the fitness center are treadmills, cross-training machines, exercise bikes, circuit machines and free weights, among other things.

There is a water fountain, as well as headsets and towels.

Of course there are the obligatory rules and disclaimers.

But check this out!!!  The hotel has a Garmin GPS Forerunner available to borrow!  Great idea!

The glass windows face the Arcade, and there aren’t many mirrors.  The gym is not a typical cookie-cutter gym.  It was obviously designed not only to fill the available space, but also to aesthetically fit into the historical Arcade setting.  It is a nice facility, that is well-organized  with top-notch machines and equipment.
