The Radisson Blu Madrid, Prado was the perfect choice for our 2-night stay in Madrid. Won’t Run and I fell in love with Madrid and want to return. We would choose this hotel again in a heartbeat!
I booked the hotel using a free night certificate for the first night and paying for the second night.
First, location, location, location. The hotel was extremely convenient to everything. Won’t Run and I like to walk a lot when we travel. As the name implies, the hotel is only a block or two from the famed Prado Museum. Once we got our bearings, we found we could walk everywhere we wanted within approximately 20 minutes from the hotel.
Second: the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Anything we requested (within reason) they were able to help us with.
Third, although there were no upgrades available, and our standard room was on the smaller side, we still liked it. The design was fun and kitschy, but also very practical.
One wall was the Prado Museum itself!
The closets were very functional. The main closet had basic closet items including a safe.
I almost missed the smaller closet on the left which contained a refrigerator, mini-bar items and a Nespresso machine. You know I love the Nespresso!
The hotel delivered some fruit and a nice welcome note:
I liked this purple chair next to the window:
and a nice view of the street and courtyard below:
The bathroom was modern, with a good shower, a towel warmer and Radisson Blu toiletries.
This is what the 4th Floor hallway and staircase looked like:
There was also a fitness center and pool (reviewed separately) and a spectacularly delicious breakfast that was truly farm-to-table (also reviewed separately).
I am really happy that I chose to stay at this hotel!
