I’m always giddy when I hear of new fitness and wellness endeavors by hotels. I’ve been very impressed with the fitness centers and spas at many Hyatt hotels, particularly Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt and Park Hyatt hotels.
To me, a good vacation is a healthy vacation
Some people consider a good vacation to be a time NOT to work out – but I’m just the opposite! When I travel, I look forward to the luxury of having the time to use a hotel fitness center, or going for scenic walks or hikes.
I always pack a resistance band in my suitcase, and ask for a yoga mat in my room!
When researching where to stay on my travels, I always look into what the hotels and their surrounding areas offer in terms of fitness. I have noticed that the hospitality industry is increasingly recognizing the value of offering their guests a variety of health and fitness programs. One such example is the increase in number of hotels that have Peloton Bikes (yes, I bought a Peloton during the pandemic, and yes, I still love it!). Another is the furnishing of on-demand and/or live yoga, cardio and meditation classes.
Thompson Hotels and CorePower Yoga Collab
At the end of July, Hyatt announced the launch of a new collaboration between their luxury boutique lifestyle brand, Thompson Hotels, and the nation’s largest yoga studio brand, CorePower Yoga, to offer a series of rooftop workout classes.
Rooftop Yoga Classes – Yessss!!
Beginning this summer, classes are available complimentary to Thompson Hotels guests at participating properties and accessible to CorePower Yoga members and locals.
Participating properties, including Thompson Austin, Thompson Hollywood, Thompson Nashville, Thompson Seattle, and The Beekman Hotel in NYC, are offering a series of CorePower Yoga vinyasa-style C2 or high-energy Yoga Sculpt classes on each hotel’s rooftop space.
In addition, guests staying at a participating Thompson Hotel can also enjoy one complimentary CorePower Yoga studio class as well as 20% off an All Access Membership or 10 Class Pack.
I’m planning to attend a class at the Beekman Hotel later this month, so I’ll let you know how it goes! If you would like to learn more about each property’s class offerings, visit: www.corepoweryoga.com/
