The Hyatt Place Aruba Airport is perfectly situated literally a stone’s throw from the airport terminal. No shuttle or taxi is needed to get to your flight. The hotel is convenient for the last night of a stay, especially when you have a morning or even midday flight. So, it is good for peace of mind as well for defraying vacation costs.
I stayed here last year also (see, Hotel Review, Hyatt Place Aruba Airport 2023). As I said last year, the hotel:
. . . is literally a hop, skip and a jump from the airport. While this is definitely a positive, it is also a downside in that there’s really no place to go from the hotel unless you have a car or take a taxi. (The hotel does offer shuttle service to various nearby locations and beaches, but only during day hours).
Most of the public areas are on the third floor, including the front desk, the lobby, the bar area and restaurant, the breakfast area, the fitness center and the pool. The second floor has areas for meetings and events.
I was upgraded to a room they call a suite but it was really just a larger room with a kitchen area and a table. It was clean and fine for the one night stay.
The bathroom was clean and everything was in working order.
From our room, we could see the pool down on the third floor as well as the airport runway.
I typically go to the breakfast area early in the morning to get coffee to bring back to the room, and return later for the actual breakfast. This morning was no exception. When I arrived, I saw that breakfast was already neatly set up. The food was plentiful, with many healthy choices. The restaurant wasn’t very crowded. YET.
When I went to breakfast an hour or two later, it looked vastly different. It was very crowded and the food was sparse. Why you ask? Because a few national soccer teams (St. Marten and Haiti) were staying at the hotel and those players were really hungry! They were actually very nice people.
The hotel fitness center is quite nice (especially for a Hyatt Place hotel). The facility is clean and spacious, and there’s plenty of equipment.
In conclusion, the Hyatt Place Aruba Airport offers a blend of convenience and comfort, making it an ideal choice for travelers needing proximity to the airport, especially for early flights. Its location eliminates the need for last minute shuttles or taxis.
