We all knew it was too good to be true – the Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt was a steal at 8,000 points per night (category 2).
Hyatt has just announced that, effective as of July 30, 2019, at 10:00 am CT, Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is shifting upward by 3 categories. Free night award redemptions booked after the change at this hotel will require 20,000 World of Hyatt points.
All free night award and Points + Cash redemptions booked before 10:00 am CT on July 30 will follow the current Award Chart, and those reservations will remain in place at the original point level. Any free night award and Points + Cash redemptions booked at 10:00 am CT on July 30 or after will follow the new Award Chart. All Category 1-4 award redemptions (including World of Hyatt Credit Card and Hyatt Credit Card anniversary nights, 5 Brand Free Night Awards, etc.) booked before the change will be honored as booked as well. All award redemptions booked at 10:00 am CT on July 30 or after will follow the new Award Chart.
Thankfully, World of Hyatt has given us advance notice of the change, but if you are considering going to this hotel, I’d recommend making your reservations ASAP.

Super bummed about this. I was hoping to stay there Christmas 2020; I bet they drop to a Cat 4 eventually
