Until recently, I had only been to the AA Flagship Lounge at JFK airport. But, earlier this month, on my trip home from Santiago, I had the opportunity and the pleasure of visiting the Flagship Lounge at Miami International Airport.
Our redeye flight landed sometime after 5 am, so we entered a nearly empty lounge. The lounge is huge and clean and beautiful! And of course, there’s free wifi! We didn’t have to worry about social distancing, because there was practically no one there!
The selection of breakfast items at the buffet (self-serve) was plentiful and the food was fresh and delicious. There were hot items and cold items, as well as oatmeal and fresh fruit. Additionally, there was an omelette bar for fresh egg dishes. I can’t remember the last time I saw that at a domestic lounge.
Basically, I couldn’t ask for more or better than this lounge!
Here are some photos of the food selection:
Dave said his omelette was delicious!
In the restaurant area, there were tables and chairs. In the other rooms, there were armchairs as well as areas for business seating. There were plenty of electric outlets.
American Airlines, you have spoiled me with your Flagship Lounges!

We loved it mid-day on our trip to Central America right before Covid-19 hit. Chicago lounge is great too and we’ve been to the JFK Flagship a few times. Clearly AA knows how to do a lounge, which makes the food selection at Admirals Clubs so disappointing. We have been to the Phoenix and Miami Centurion Lounges during the past month, and while I really like the Centurion Lounges, I will take a Flagship Lounge over a Centurion Lounge any day!

I agree with you about the Admirals clubs.

Oh, I missed those. But I did manage to grab a few York Peppermint Patties.
