I recently visited Ecuador. The return flight was from Guayaquil (GYE) to New York (JFK). With a little time to spare and a Priority Pass in hand, I decided to check out the VIP Club.
It was pretty empty. Correction: it was rather desolate. Like the other Priority Club I visited in Ecuador (at Quito Airport), only non-alcoholic beverages were complimentary.
There was an offering of fruit, canapes, snacks and small sandwiches. It was not elaborate by any means, but the food was fresh and the facilities were clean.
The seating was plentiful and comfortable and there were TVs and Wifi.
Was it memorable? No. Was it fine for what it was? Yes (except for the lack of complimentary alcoholic beverages).
Outside of the quiet club, the airport was bustling as we lined up for our LAN flight home.
I boarded the plane passing through business on my way to my seat in coach.
my seat was in a bulkhead row, so I had a little extra legroom.
They fed us hot lunch, with chicken and rice, which was fine and the beverage service included wine.
(note: this trip was part of a media press trip. LAN along with the tourism boards of Quito and Cuenca were the sponsors, and covered the cost of the flights)

That bulkhead seat looks like way less legroom than a typical seat since you can’t stretch your legs out under the seat in front. More knee room, yes. Terrible leg room.
-From a tall person who despises bulkhead seats with a hard bulkhead.

One in Quito is equally desolate, but they did stay open to the early hours when our United Flight was delayed. That was appreciated.

I went to the one in Quito as well. It was very crowded when I was there, and they did have hot food. they even had sushi. but overall it was boring.
